Nvidia RTX PRO 6000 Packs Monster 96GB VRAM

NVIDIA just renamed its workstation cards RTX PRO. The top model packs 96 GB of GDDR7 memory with error correction. This marks the first use of 3 GB GDDR7 chips in pro graphics cards. The company puts 16 memory modules on each side of the circuit board.

The Max-Q version runs at 300 watts, but other models can use up to 600 watts. Photos leaked online show the new board layout missing the normal power connector. Instead, it has four solder points for a cable extender. This design works better for server racks where power comes from the back.

NVIDIA will sell the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell in three versions. Workstation and server models offer full speed with all 24,064 CUDA cores. The Max-Q runs cooler and quieter in small cases. The midrange RTX PRO 5000 uses the same board design but with memory on just one side for 48 GB total.

The company also plans gaming cards with more memory. Future RTX 5080 SUPER might have 24 GB of memory, and RTX 5070 SUPER could have 18 GB.
