Education head Julius Ogamba removed four people from the University of Nairobi leadership roles. He published this decision on April 11 in an official government announcement. The cabinet secretary used his legal powers under section 36 of university laws to make these changes effective immediately. The notice named Sally Toroitich, Ahmed Abdullahi, Dr. Parmain Narikae, and Carren Omwenga as those affected.
These former council members received new assignments at different schools across Kenya. Toroitich will move to the University of Embu in May 2026.
