Ogun police arrest a suspect for pistol threats and gang assault in Abeokuta

Police officers caught a man who scared someone with a handmade gun near Abeokuta. Oluwatobiloba Kehinde attacked a local person who walked home from playing football. The crime happened at 6 pm on June 27, 2025 in the Agbena area of Ojere. Kehinde wanted the victim to give him money and made scary threats. The victim called police the next day to report what happened.

Gang members rode up on a motorcycle and helped beat up the victim during the robbery attempt. The victim ran away and made it safely back to his house. Kehinde followed the victim to his family home later that evening. He brought the homemade pistol and kept making death threats against the victim. The scared victim contacted authorities about the dangerous situation.

Officers moved quickly after hearing about the crime and found Kehinde. They arrested him and took away the weapon he used to threaten people. Police spokesperson CSP Omolola Odutola told reporters about the arrest and gun recovery. The police department promised to share more details as officers continue investigating the case. Authorities want residents to know they take these violent threats seriously.
