Edo State's chief executive, Monday Okpebholo, has selected three additional people for commissioner positions within his administration. The governor's latest choices include Dr Elizabeth Ebosele, Hon. Christopher Ewere Okaeben, and Hon. Festus Odianosen Ebea. State Government Secretary Barrister Umar Musa Ikhilor announced the appointments on Friday through an official statement distributed to media outlets in Benin City. These appointments bring Okpebholo's total commissioner selections to 29 since taking office.
The governor previously nominated 26 individuals who received confirmation from the state legislature. However, only nine of those confirmed nominees have received their official swearing-in ceremonies and portfolio assignments. Two of the newest appointees previously served as elected representatives in the Edo State House of Assembly. Former Deputy Speaker Hon. Festus Ebea represented the Esan South East constituency, while Hon. Christopher Ewere Okaeben served the Oredo West district during their legislative tenures.
