Olinda Chapel walks free after an apology to Dyonne and Collins Mnangangwa

Saying sorry apparently deletes criminal charges if you possess enough internet clout. State prosecutors in Harare completely withdrew the cyberbullying case against Olinda Chapel after the UK-based socialite livestreamed a public apology. The businesswoman originally faced heat for broadcasting demeaning comments regarding Dyonne Tafirenyika alongside her sister Kelsea, who is married to Collins Mnangagwa.

Authorities scrapped the file before she even entered a plea. This decision followed a viral clip where Chapel accepted full accountability for causing emotional distress. She had previously appeared before Magistrate Ruth Moyo, who granted bail and seized her passport.

That whole mess started when Tafirenyika went to collect her kid, sparking a rant that name-dropped Collins Mnangagwa. Internet users are arguing whether this shows justice or just privilege, especially given her link to musician Desmond Chideme.
