Oscar Sudi Urges Gen Z to Respect Police Officers During Protests

Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi asked young Kenyans to stop fighting with armed police during protests. He said this bad behavior hurts and embarrasses the officers who work to keep everyone safe. The politician explained that police are human beings just like everyone else and deserve respect from the public.

Sudi spoke out about blogger Albert Ojwang dying at Central Police Station and said people must face punishment for what happened. He warned that protesters should not use this death as an excuse to attack officers or try to steal their weapons. The MP believes young people need to remember that police are their family members and neighbors.

He gave out checks worth 4.6 million shillings to local groups during his speech in Kapseret. Sudi said the country cannot work without security officers and people depend on them for protection. He wants stronger laws to stop bad people from hurting police officers.

The politician criticized those demanding Deputy Inspector General Eliud Lagat be fired before investigations finish. He said investigators will find the truth about what really happened to the blogger. Sudi thinks many people calling for Lagat to lose his job are acting out of personal anger rather than seeking justice.
