Osun Amotekun lands jailbreak suspect in robbery bust

Osun Amotekun caught a prison escapee, John Uba, for armed robbery. Commander Adekunle Omoyele shared this news during a suspect parade in Osogbo on Friday. Officers arrested Uba yesterday in the Fiwasaye area after receiving tips about a robbery happening there. They learned he had escaped from Ota-Efun Police Station earlier. Uba admitted he had committed crimes many times before.

The security team also caught Aderemi Sheriff stealing electrical cables worth N5.6 million from Hemmed Omidiran University. Sheriff had been in jail before for similar thefts. Saheed Babatunde was nabbed on Wednesday for taking iron worth N280,000 after someone reported him. He also served time previously for the same crime.

Three more people—Idowu Tajudeen, Bamanga Geoffrey, and Femi Adeniyi—were arrested for breaking into a home. They stole a water pump and other items valued at N8.5 million from the GRA area. Commander Omoyele asked people to stay alert and report suspicious activities to help keep everyone safe. He promised they would keep working hard until all criminals were gone from Osun State.
