Oti Region Lands Bosses Take Charge in Big Shakeup

John Kwadwo Gyapong started a new land board for the Oti Region on Thursday. The minister brought together 16 people to help manage land across the area. Each board member promised to follow the rules and keep secrets about their work. The ceremony, which happened on May 22, marked a big step forward for the region. Gyapong thanked President John Dramani Mahama for creating this land office.

The regional minister told board members to work together as one team. He wants them to help people use land wisely and make money from their property. Board members took three different promises during the ceremony. Gyapong said the land office answers what local people have been asking for. The minister praised the president for listening to community needs.

Nana Mprah Besemuna III leads the 16-person group as chairman. The board brings together people from different backgrounds across the Oti Region. All members represent various groups that care about land issues. The minister picked these people to serve their communities fairly. Each person brings special skills to help solve land problems.

Gyapong warned board members against helping just their friends or families. He said his ministry will punish anyone who breaks the law. The minister expects fair treatment for all land seekers. Board members must put community needs before personal gain. Gyapong promised to watch their actions closely.

The new board handles both government and private land matters. Members work to share land fairly among all people. They must protect the environment through smart land planning. The board shapes how the Oti Region grows and develops. Their decisions affect every person living there.
