Owalo declares 2027 presidential run, pitches Nyanza revival

This bureaucrat suddenly wants the big chair instead of helping others sit there. Eliud Owalo declared he plans to seek the top office during the upcoming election. The Deputy Chief of Staff announced this while visiting Oboch in Kisumu County to commemorate his ancestor, Prophet Johanna Owalo.

He claims his history of getting results justifies this leap after spending years backing heavyweights like Raila Odinga and William Ruto. The official insists he moved past supporting specific leaders to focusing purely on development for regular citizens.

Owalo urged Nyanza residents to reject empty talk for actual action. He wants to expand water infrastructure like the Koru-Soin dams to stop flooding and boost food security while finishing the Lake Victoria Ring Road to connect Busia with Migori.

His plan involves upgrading Kisumu International Airport to let the region fly fish and farm produce directly abroad. He proposed building local factories for processing everything from avocados to soapstone rather than selling raw goods.

The aspirant called for reviving the sugar and cotton industries while fixing mining laws to help locals profit. Owalo specifically pushed for real political competition in the area because the constitution protects having multiple options.
