Oyo APC alleges plot to suspend lawmaker Ibraheem Shittu

The All Progressives Congress chapter in Oyo State warns against alleged persecution schemes targeting assembly member Ibraheem Shittu. The Saki West constituency representative won his seat through APC candidacy. Shittu recently disclosed that legislators approved a 300 billion naira loan for Governor Seyi Makinde. Party officials suspect retaliation efforts against the lawmaker. Publicity Secretary Wasiu Olawale Sadare issued the warning statement Monday.

State party leadership discovered harassment plots involving governor loyalists. Assembly officials reportedly plan false rule violation charges against Shittu. These accusations would trigger disciplinary proceedings and potential indefinite suspension. APC maintains Shittu merely answered party inquiries about loan proceedings. The organization requests intervention from prominent figures and security agencies to protect the legislator.
