Pakatan Harapan demands 23 Sabah seats in power grab

Pakatan Harapan seeks limited seats in negotiations with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah for the state election despite recent coalition departures. PKR Sabah chief Datuk Ts Mustapha Sakmud said on Saturday that the coalition prioritizes political stability over seat numbers as discussions continue before assembly dissolution. Sources indicated Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor offered 18 of 73 seats, while PH requested between 21 and 23 positions.

STAR President Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey Kitingan and SAPP President Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee announced plans to use separate party symbols after raising concerns about the allocation agreement. GRS resolved that component parties fielding candidates under different logos would exit the coalition. Mustapha expressed readiness for any outcome and confidence that the remaining partners will maintain unity through the electoral process.
