Pakistani security forces abducted Asad Ullah from his residence in Khuzdar district's Norgama Zehri area on Oct. 5, according to Paank, the human rights department of the Baloch National Movement. The shopkeeper became the latest victim in a surge of enforced disappearances across Balochistan province. Authorities also detained Hamid Baloch from Gwadar's Dando through a local death squad working with military personnel, and security forces took Mumtaz Saleh from his Turbat home on Oct. 2.
