Palworld 1.0 set for 2026 as PocketPair focuses on polish

PocketPair revealed plans to launch Palworld version 1.0 during 2026 after extensive polishing work. The development team will dedicate the remainder of 2025 to addressing technical issues and gameplay inconsistencies that currently affect the early access title. Communications Director Bucky stated that substantial cleanup must occur before the game can exit its preliminary phase. The upcoming winter update will contain fewer features compared to the previous Feybreak expansion. Players should expect quieter development periods as the studio prioritizes foundational improvements.

The creature-collecting survival game has achieved remarkable commercial success since launching in early 2024. Steam records show Palworld reached third place for concurrent players with 2.1 million users, trailing only Black Myth Wukong and PUBG. The title attracted over 32 million players across multiple platforms throughout the year. PocketPair simultaneously manages a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Nintendo while expanding operations through publishing partnerships and exploring future game concepts.
