Parliament finds ritual pots, blames mental health episode

Parliament officials had to address a weird situation after someone found ritual items outside the new building. Deputy Speaker Tsitsi Gezi told everyone to stay calm, claiming a mentally unwell person was responsible. She said lawmakers are safe, and the thing is under control.

But that explanation came after the story blew up online. Pictures were everywhere showing clay pots with red ribbons, bottles, and a party-branded cloth on the ground. People were mocking it and questioning security at such an important place. Comments ranged from calling it an embarrassment to making jokes about political ambitions and future elections.

Even with the official statement calling it an isolated act, the whole event raised obvious questions. Finding ritual objects at the symbolic seat of government, especially on partisan fabric, made a lot of people talk. Authorities have not shared more details about the individual involved or explained how it happened, given the site's security.
