Passion Centre for Children Marks 20 Years of Transforming Lives in Malawi

A faith group marked twenty years of community work at a ceremony held at Mulunguzi Primary School in Zomba. Passion Centre for the Children has helped transform lives across Malawi through various development programs. The organization built homes for needy children and taught job skills to young people. Staff members also covered education costs for students who could not afford school fees.

Pastor Pilira Chibwana leads the group as National Coordinator and spoke about their accomplishments during the celebration. The organization assisted more than 1,500 individuals who later became medical workers, educators and skilled craftspeople. Clean water projects reached over 300,000 people throughout the region. Workers constructed proper housing for families facing difficult circumstances.

School officials received fifty new desks as a gift from the organization during the anniversary event. A representative attended on behalf of District Commissioner Thomas Mbwembwe and praised the group's community efforts. The official noted how these programs support government goals for local development. Pastor Eric Von Sythoff traveled from the United States to attend as the organization's president.

Traditional Authority Mwambo expressed appreciation for the positive changes brought to her area. She emphasized how clean water access has particularly benefited local residents. The leader believes continued cooperation between the organization, government officials and community members will create lasting improvements. Staff dedication and hard work have made these achievements possible over two decades.
