Patti LaBelle's $200M reduced to Kroger flaps

Singer Patti LaBelle met fans at a Kroger location in Kingwood, Texas, on Tuesday to promote her breakfast products. The first 200 shoppers received autographs and photographs with the performer as part of the Patti's Good Life brand campaign.

LaBelle launched her food company in 2008 with recipes she developed herself. The line appears in Walmart, Target and Kroger stores nationwide, with sweet potato pie and macaroni and cheese drawing strong customer demand.

The business earned nearly $200 million in total revenue by 2023, with leading items accounting for $85 million of that figure. LaBelle added pancake and waffle mix to her collection in 2024 and expanded distribution this year.

Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said the retailer sells five times as many sweet potato pies since partnering with the brand. LaBelle told Forbes in 2023 that she refuses to attach her name to products unless they meet her standards.
