Paul Hastings just yoinked another pair of White & Case arbitration partners out of Paris, and at this point it's getting genuinely ridiculous. Elizabeth Oger-Gross and Tolu Obamuroh both made the jump, bringing deep benches in cross-border commercial and investor-state disputes spanning energy, infrastructure, and construction work for governments and private companies.
Oger-Gross put in 23 years at her old firm handling massive matters across EMEA and the Americas, even serving on arbitral panels in both English and French. Obamuroh only grabbed her White & Case partnership earlier this year after a stint at the Lagos Court of Arbitration. The broader litigation buildout has pulled in close to 50 partners globally across four years.
And this isn't the first time they've raided that particular Paris office. Xavier Petet got poached last year as part of a half-dozen-partner energy-and-infrastructure grab that also hit London and planted a flag in Abu Dhabi. The firm's top line jumped 20% to hit $2.7 billion in 2025, blowing past the 14.1% average posted by the 25 biggest US-based firms.
