PC Prices Jump With Trump's Tariffs

Custom PC builder META PC warns shoppers about coming price hikes due to Trump's latest tariffs. The company says it might raise prices as much as 50% across its computer parts. It explained that it couldn't absorb these costs without going out of business. PowerGPU's CEO shared similar concerns, stating that regular people will end up paying more for computer gear.

The tariffs hit harder because they target not just China but also Singapore and the Philippines. Many manufacturers had moved operations to these countries as alternatives to China. With all these places facing new import taxes, companies have few options left except passing costs to customers. Big retailers like Newegg and MicroCenter might keep current prices temporarily until existing stock runs out. After that happens, everyone should expect computer parts to become much more expensive.
