PFA Chief Warns Club World Cup Is Harming Football and Player Welfare

Football bosses are ruining the beautiful game with their money-grabbing tournament plans. The head of the players union blasted FIFA for putting profits before player safety during the Club World Cup. Maheta Molango from the Professional Footballers Association said the competition makes football look terrible. He warned that fans watching games for the first time will never come back after seeing such poor quality matches. The extreme heat and empty stadiums have turned elite football into a joke.

Ten Juventus stars begged to leave the field during their match against Real Madrid because of brutal weather conditions. The game happened in Miami with temperatures hitting 30 degrees and humidity at 70 percent. Borussia Dortmund players had to hide in the changing rooms during the first half of their match because of the scorching heat. Six different games got cancelled completely when thunderstorms hit the stadiums. Weather delays lasted up to two hours and made the tournament look like a complete disaster.

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp called the expanded competition the worst decision ever made in football history. The global players union demanded that athletes should have at least four weeks off between seasons. Pep Guardiola agreed that the schedule was brutal but said winning teams must accept these challenges. FIFA officials defended their tournament and claimed they always put player welfare first. The players union has filed legal complaints against FIFA over the packed fixture calendar.
