PM-KISAN scheme transforms the lives of farmers in Bihar's Vaishali district

Thousands of farming families across the Vaishali district in Bihar receive substantial benefits through the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi program. The government distributes 6,000 rupees annually to participating farmers through three separate payments. This financial support enables agricultural families to purchase essential farming supplies and navigate challenging economic periods. Farmers use these funds to purchase seeds, fertilizers, and other essential agricultural materials at the optimal planting times. The assistance has transformed farming operations by eliminating previous delays caused by insufficient capital.

Veer Bahadur Singh, who has cultivated crops for four decades, reports dramatic improvements in his farming productivity and family finances. Ram Pravesh Rai, with six decades of agricultural experience, describes the program as his most significant governmental support. Both farmers emphasize that timely resource availability has enhanced crop yields and strengthened their economic stability. The scheme enables prompt sowing seasons that previously faced delays due to financial constraints. These farmers credit Prime Minister Narendra Modi with launching an initiative that effectively addresses the needs of small and middle-class farmers.
