Pooh Shiesty freed early, eyes coming back from halfway house

Pooh Shiesty has been released from federal custody after serving about three years of a 63-month sentence for a firearms conspiracy tied to a 2020 shooting in Florida. The rapper, known for the single Back in Blood, entered prison in 2022 and was released on Oct. 6, 2025, ahead of a projected April 2026 date. He is currently living in a halfway house while transitioning back to daily life.

His sentence followed a 2023 guilty plea, which reduced his potential prison time. Authorities said he had been held in a high-security Pennsylvania facility. Fans have begun speculating about new music, a common step for artists after release. Shiesty’s return offers a chance to rebuild his public presence and music career.
