PowerColor's New Red Devil Backplate Buzz

PowerColor might release another premium graphics card soon after launching its white version of the Red Devil Radeon RX 9070 XT last week. Sources tell VideoCardz the company plans a Red Devil Radeon RX 9070 XT Backplate Edition model. The website has correctly reported pre-release information from industry insiders before.

The company lets customers customize their older Red Devil cards with replaceable backplates called Devil Skin designs. These come in Intrusive and Generative styles. The new special edition will likely use the standard Red Devil RX 9070 XT as its base. Sources say these cards are already being made, but nobody knows if they will include new versions of the Devil Skin attachments.

No information suggests that PowerColor will make a white version with custom backplates. The company will probably check customer response to the black and red model first. People who bought previous Red Devil cards know about these customization options. Both styles remain available for purchase. The basic design costs about $18 on Amazon USA. The more unusual organic design sells for around $41.
