PPL appoints Anne-Marie Pearce as new CFO

British music rights administrator PPL has named Anne-Marie Pearce as chief financial officer following the departure announcement of Chris Barton, who spent two decades climbing through the organization's finance ranks before deciding to exit at year's end. The incoming executive brings extensive media sector expertise from senior roles at Publicis Groupe and Walt Disney Company, where she helped launch the streaming service that became Disney+.

Pearce will command finance and distribution operations responsible for channeling royalties to performers and recording rightsholders while joining the executive leadership team under CEO Peter Leathem. Her appointment arrives as PPL pursues expansion ambitions after generating record revenues exceeding 300 million pounds while positioning itself as a global leader in neighboring rights management.
