Press Corporation turnover jumps 42 percent as Mwadiwa unveils solar and fish plans

Press Corporation plc achieved remarkable financial results during challenging economic conditions. The company recorded turnover growth of 42 percent, reaching K556 billion alongside K126.35 million in after-tax profits. Board Chairperson Randson Mwadiwa addressed shareholders at the 41st Annual General Meeting held Friday in Blantyre. Share prices nearly doubled to reach 5,500 per share, demonstrating strong market confidence. The corporation plans strategic expansion into solar electricity generation and fish farming sectors.

Management expects continued positive performance through 2025 based on encouraging mid-year indicators. The diversification strategy aims to help the business weather ongoing economic difficulties across Malawi. Minority Shareholders Association of Listed Companies praised the transparent communication and strong stakeholder engagement. The organization expressed satisfaction with management performance and board participation during the meeting.
