Pride Kings Energy fined $3K for illegal gas imports

Trying to dodge central bank rules just cost this gas company a fat stack. The court in Harare penalized the Pride Kings gas firm after the business hauled liquid petroleum fuel out of South Africa without getting the needed clearance from the Zimbabwean central bank. This independent fuel supplier moved hydrocarbons worth more than one hundred seventy-eight thousand dollars, while dodging official currency regulations.

The outfit processed the fuel shipments through a licensed dealer, despite lacking the essential government stamps. Judges decided the fine can be settled in American dollars or the local ZiG currency. If the management fails to pay up before the upcoming deadline, officials might snatch corporate property to get the money back.
