Prince Ncube rewrites netball rules, leads Zimbabwe’s men to glory

Prince Ncube is breaking barriers in Zimbabwean men's netball. His recent Africa Cup Player of the Tournament award in Lilongwe highlights his skill and the growing presence of the sport. He called the honor a boost for visibility, noting the fast and aggressive style of the men's game.

His success is tied to the national team, the Golden Flyers. Formed just three years ago, they have consistently medaled at African championships, taking silver in Malawi after losses to South Africa. Despite this record, the team still lacks mainstream attention and sponsorship, pushing forward through personal commitment.

Ncube sees a need for more support at all levels to develop talent. He encourages young male players to pursue the sport despite social stigma, believing Zimbabwe can become a continental leader. He aims to use his platform to mentor others and create more opportunities for athletes both locally and internationally.
