Princess Sarah's SR10m targets sick Saudi kids

Princess Sarah bint Mashhour, wife of the Saudi Crown Prince, has contributed 10 million Saudi riyals to assist children living with type 1 diabetes in the kingdom. The funding will support the Children with Type 1 Diabetes Support Fund, an initiative of the Saudi Health Endowment Fund, and enable young patients to obtain advanced insulin pumps and modern treatment technologies that reduce daily injections while improving blood sugar management.

Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel, who chairs the Health Endowment Fund's board, praised the princess for her humanitarian efforts benefiting vulnerable populations. The donation arrives as the fund works to support 600 children annually through partnerships with health organizations and nonprofit groups across Saudi Arabia.

The Health Endowment Fund has served more than 3,000 beneficiaries through 26 associations and specialized projects throughout various regions. Donations to the fund surpassed 72 million Saudi riyals during 2024, demonstrating community support for sustainable healthcare initiatives addressing critical medical needs.
