Prison officers schooled on NRM ideology, told to stay sharp

Uganda Prisons bosses got schooled on National Resistance Movement ideology that supposedly turned the country around after 1986. Commissioner Moses Kamugisha told mid-central region officers and Mubende opinion leaders that the old days were a mess of political chaos and busted institutions before NRM took over and brought stability.

Kamugisha pushed the whole patriotism and Pan-Africanism angle while bragging about how security forces kept things peaceful enough for the agriculture and mining sectors to pop off. He name-dropped coffee, tea, and dairy as proof that commercialization works when nobody is shooting at each other.

The commissioner also warned staff about being idiots on social media and told them to hype up government wins instead of causing drama that tanks public trust in state agencies.
