PSG edge Bayern Munich 2-0 in Club World Cup quarter-final, Musiala injured

Paris St-Germain knocked out Bayern Munich and advanced to the Club World Cup semi-finals during a dramatic match in Atlanta. The French team won despite losing two players to red cards and watching their opponents suffer a terrible injury. Desire Doue fired home the opening goal with his left foot during the 78th minute. Ousmane Dembele sealed the victory with a second strike during stoppage time. PSG will face either Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund for a place in the final.

The game turned ugly when Bayern star Jamal Musiala crashed into PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma near the sideline. The Germany international grabbed his left ankle and needed urgent medical attention from team doctors. Donnarumma looked devastated as he watched Musiala receive treatment on the field. The keeper appeared to catch the midfielder during the collision. Medical staff rushed onto the pitch to help the injured player.

PSG defender Willian Pacho received his red card for a dangerous tackle on Leon Goretzka just four minutes after the opening goal. Lucas Hernandez joined him in the dressing room during added time for fouling Raphael Guerreiro. Harry Kane thought he had scored for Bayern but officials ruled the goal offside. Referee Anthony Taylor awarded Bayern a penalty before changing his mind after checking the video replay. Thomas Muller came on as a substitute and played his final game for Bayern after 17 years with the club.
