PSL probes Highlanders coach over bias claims against league

The Premier Soccer League has launched an investigation into Highlanders coach Pieter de Jongh after he accused the league of favoring Dynamos and other clubs. His remarks followed Bosso’s loss in the Chibuku Super Cup semifinal and have drawn strong criticism from league officials.

Acting PSL chief executive Rodwell Thabe said the comments may breach the league’s code of conduct and warned that sanctions could follow if misconduct is confirmed. Thabe noted that while the league aims to schedule simultaneous matches in the final weeks, limited stadium availability often prevents it.

Highlanders now face a difficult stretch with three key matches against Simba Bhora, Manica Diamonds, and Chicken Inn. The results will determine whether the team avoids relegation and could also affect De Jongh’s position at the club as the disciplinary process unfolds.
