PTAD pushes “I’m Alive” checks, pensioners must verify or risk pay halt

PTAD is making pensioners jump through hoops again with their annual life check, and anyone who skips it might get their payments frozen. Olugbenga Ajayi from the department said the whole thing exists to stop fraud and make sure money hits the right people, not ghost beneficiaries gaming the system.

Retirees need to show up physically or verify online with proper ID documents, and the government is pushing this as part of their bigger cleanup effort for pension records. PTAD warned everyone to stay on top of official announcements because missing the deadline could mess up your cash flow for no good reason.
