Pulisic chokes penalty as Milan streak dies

Christian Pulisic's penalty miss cost AC Milan two points in a scoreless draw against Juventus on Sunday, ending the club's five-match winning streak. The American forward sent his second-half spot kick over the crossbar, marking only his second penalty failure in his professional career. Pulisic leads Milan with six goals and two assists this season, but his conversion record fell to 13 successful penalties against two misses for club and country.

Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri praised Pulisic's overall performance despite the missed penalty. The winger continued attacking after his error and set up Rafael Leao with a precise pass late in the match, but Leao's shot missed the target. Milan dropped from first to third place, sitting two points behind defending champion Napoli and Roma. Pulisic will join the United States national team for the upcoming friendlies against Ecuador and Australia ahead of next year's World Cup.
