Railways Raid Flight Chaos With 5000 Extra Seats

Russian Railways added extra cars on busy routes because many airports have limited capacity. They put more seats on trains going between St. Petersburg and Moscow and boosted space on lines from Adler, Kazan, and Nizhny Novgorod heading to Moscow.

The company created about 5,000 new seats for travelers from May 7 to 12. Officials say people can still find train tickets with no problems. Rosaviatsia said earlier that airline services across regions had returned to normal operations.

Tour operators report that drone attacks on May 6 and 7 messed up flight plans for around 60,000 air travelers. Many flights ran late or never took off at all. The railway stepped up to help these stranded passengers reach their destinations.
