Razer Thunderbolt 5 Dock price bombshell leaves gamers and creators fuming

Razer launched two Thunderbolt 5 accessories designed to expand laptop connectivity through single-cable solutions. The Thunderbolt 5 Dock combines an 11-port hub with internal SSD storage capabilities. Users can connect three 4K displays at 120 Hz while accessing dual USB-C 4 ports, USB-A connections, Ethernet, and audio jacks. The device supports up to 8TB of NVMe storage with 15 GB/s transfer speeds. A built-in Share mode enables KVM switching between two computers.

The Core X V2 external GPU enclosure accommodates standard desktop graphics cards and ATX power supplies. Thunderbolt 5 connectivity provides double the bandwidth compared to previous generations, reducing performance bottlenecks. The steel chassis features ventilation and a 120mm fan with adjustable speed controls through Razer Synapse software. Both accessories deliver 140W laptop charging through their respective connections. The modular approach allows users to upgrade storage and graphics components independently while maintaining clean desk setups.
