Rhys Elliot confirms Battlefield 6 will never escape CoD's shadow

Battlefield 6 beta achieves remarkable player engagement during its second week, with over 400,000 concurrent users on Steam. Alinea Analytics analyst Rhys Elliot forecasts the game will reach one million Steam pre-orders after already surpassing 605,000 reservations. EA stands to generate approximately 35 million dollars from advance sales, according to current tracking data. Elliot characterizes this performance as potentially the strongest in franchise history. The analyst remains skeptical about EA's ambitious target of 100 million total players.

Despite positive momentum, Elliot disputes claims that Battlefield 6 will significantly damage Call of Duty's market position. He acknowledges the game appeals strongly to dedicated first-person shooter enthusiasts while recognizing Call of Duty's established cultural dominance. The competing franchise maintains substantial casual player loyalty and benefits from annual release cycles plus Warzone integration. Battlefield 6 launches this October following the conclusion of its current beta testing period.
