Malaysian officials expect a 600 million ringgit permanent magnet production plant under development in Pahang to enhance the nation's standing within the rare earth processing sectors. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said JS Link and Lynas Malaysia have completed initial preparations for the project, and he plans to meet with Pahang Chief Minister Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail on Sunday for further discussions. Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Zafrul Aziz will assess advancement on Monday.
