Rundu Trade Fair draws big crowds

Nearly 200 businesses gathered in Kavango East for the 2025 Rundu Annual Trade Fair, marking a significant increase from 150 participants last year. Mayor Gabriel Kanyanga said organizers added temporary structures outside the main venue to handle the larger crowd. Vice President Lucia Witbooi will preside over formal proceedings on Tuesday.

Security personnel from the police and private firms patrol the grounds, which operate from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The Katutura entertainment zone remains active until 2 a.m. Oshakati Town Council representative Joyce Ueitele promoted land development projects and waste reduction initiatives at the municipal booth.

TST Marketing Agency helps businesses launch products and trains students as promotional staff. International vendors from Kenya and Tanzania displayed health products and handmade crafts. Jacquiline Kitundu from Tanzania said the annual gathering strengthens commercial ties between African nations.
