President Ruto talked in Lamu County and started building a new housing project in Mokowe. He said Kenya will stay strong. He does not want leaders who talk negatively about different tribes.
President Ruto asked people to work together. He said talking about tribes is old-fashioned. "Every Kenyan can live anywhere in the country. Do not listen to leaders who want to divide us," he said.
Ruto talked about some politicians. He did not say their names. He said these politicians have no plans for Kenya. They just like to talk politics all day.
"We must stay united. We must stay together. We are one people with one nation. We share the same future. We will do well together," he said.
The President promised to help all parts of Kenya equally. No area will be left behind.
Earlier that day, Ruto started a project called KOSAP at Ndau Island. This project costs 10 billion shillings. The government and other helpers want to bring electricity to 14 areas that need help.
The project will help Garissa, Isiolo, Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu, Mandera, Marsabit, Narok, Samburu, Taita Taveta, Tana River, Turkana, Wajir and West Pokot. These places do not have main electricity lines.
The plan is to build 120 small power stations, which will supply electricity to schools, shops, and homes.
In Tana River County, Ruto began the Bura Gravity Canal project. This will help farmers grow more food in Bura. The President visited the coastal area for a whole week to help with many projects.
Many local leaders traveled with him during his visit.
