DP Kindiki Tells Garsen Tribal Lords to Take a Hike

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki told people in Garsen to turn away from politicians who spread hate between tribes. He spoke on Wednesday and said these leaders do not deserve any attention from voters. The Deputy President stressed that Kenya must stay united as one country. He praised the current government for bringing different groups together. Kindiki said this teamwork creates better conditions for progress across the nation.

The Deputy President defended his loyalty to the President after critics called him a follower. He attended a special event at Garsen Grounds that helps women and small business owners make money. Kindiki promised the government will support citizens all year round rather than just during election time. He said Tana River County will receive equal development opportunities like other areas. The coastal region has been overlooked for many years but that will change.

Kindiki announced several major projects happening in the area right away. New modern markets are being built in Garsen, Hola, Bangale and Mandogo towns with special features. These include cold storage rooms, computer centers and spaces for nursing mothers. A new computer lab with 100 machines opened at Garsen Technical Institute. The government also built 580 affordable housing units for local families.

The fishing industry received 151 million shillings to help fishermen at Kipini make better livings. Garsen constituency got 205 million shillings for development projects. Bura received 211 million shillings and Galole got 36 million shillings for improvements. Another 411 million shillings will finish the road connecting Garsen to Witu and Mukowe.
