Tanzania plans to lower construction material expenses to improve housing accessibility for residents across income levels. President Samia Suluhu Hassan told Parliament in Dodoma that her administration will prioritize affordable shelter while monitoring policy execution aimed at upgrading conditions in informal settlements and underdeveloped areas.
The government intends to partner with commercial developers to expand urban projects, including budget-friendly residential units for middle and lower-earning households. Hassan said authorities will accelerate the formalization of residential zones and employ modern surveying technology to address land ownership conflicts throughout the country.
