Samsung confirms Exynos 2600 as first 2nm chip with major NPU upgrade set for 2025

Samsung revealed plans to increase 2nm GAA process manufacturing during the second half of 2025. The Exynos 2600 represents the company's inaugural chipset using this advanced lithography technology. Analysts confirmed this development during recent earnings discussions.

The new processor promises enhanced neural processing unit performance compared to previous generations. Prototype manufacturing began in June with approximately 30 percent production yields. Samsung aims to achieve 70 percent yield rates by the end of 2025.

Tesla signed a $16.5 billion contract with Samsung for chip production using the 2nm process. Geekbench 6 testing revealed a 10-core CPU configuration for the Exynos 2600. The company implements Heat Pass Block technology and Fan-out Wafer Level Packaging for thermal management.

Samsung avoids discussing raw computational and graphics performance specifications. The manufacturer continues optimization efforts for their debut 2nm GAA processor. Industry observers expect significant improvements over existing mobile processors when production scales commercially.
