Samsung New Galaxy Ring and Dream Battery Future

A new Money Today SK article reports that Samsung plans to release an updated Galaxy Ring model with a fresh battery system later in 2025. The company calls it a "dream battery" design. Samsung handed this tricky job to its Electro-Mechanics team, which must create "all-solid-state" batteries for tiny wearable gadgets. The news came out yesterday about Samsung's plans for a Galaxy Ring follow-up during the last three months of 2025.

Making all-solid-state batteries costs plenty of money, which might cause problems when Samsung sells the "Galaxy Ring 2" in stores. The first version didn't exactly fly off shelves. People watching the industry expect high prices because of these fancy new batteries. Money Today learned from sources inside Samsung that the company has bigger plans for these special batteries beyond rings.

The Electro-Mechanics department will eventually put all-solid-state batteries into new wireless earphones around October- December 2026 and advanced smartwatches near the end of 2027. Because these batteries cost a lot, Samsung won't make larger versions for phones anytime soon. Earlier this year, rumors connected the future "Galaxy S26" phone series with 6000+ mAh silicon-carbon batteries instead.

Samsung wants to catch up with Chinese companies by making better phone batteries. Many people discuss the current status of Samsung's silicon-carbon test batteries online. Some insiders believe Samsung staff continues working hard to perfect their ideal "battery formula." The company needs these improvements to stay competitive in the mobile market against faster-moving rivals.
