Samsung Display is apparently shuffling its whole dev structure around because Apple keeps asking for fancier screens, and The Elec says the moves started back in June, but more changes are coming. The company merged a bunch of scattered teams into one consolidated unit called the A-Development Office that's grinding on OLED tech for the iPhone 18 lineup and some folding iPhone that might exist.
There's also a new M Business Development Team working on tiny one-inch micro displays for XR headsets, which makes sense since Samsung just put out its Galaxy XR mixed reality goggles as a budget competitor to the Vision Pro. Apple also buys panels from LG Display, so Samsung is clearly trying to lock down more of that contract work with better hardware.
