Sandowns decries cyberbullying of a friend after divorce

South African actress Stephanie Sandowns fought back against online bullies after her divorce from actor Hungani Ndlovu became public. The former Scandal star used Instagram to defend herself and an unnamed friend who faced attacks from internet users. Sandowns said people crossed a line when they targeted someone who had nothing to do with her marriage ending. She emphasized that her response came from careful thought rather than raw emotion. The actress wanted to protect both herself and her friend from unfair treatment.

Sandowns explained that attacks on her friend were completely wrong since the person played no role in the divorce decision. Online users spread false stories about the friend and criticized her as both a person and a mother. The harassment became severe enough that the friend avoided social media platforms entirely. Sandowns called for people to stop the cruel behavior immediately. She made clear that dragging innocent people into personal matters was unacceptable.

Hungani Ndlovu supported his ex-wife by commenting positively on her Instagram post. The former couple recently announced their divorce through a joint statement to the public. Both actors plan to continue working together as co-parents for their children. They also stated they would remain friends despite ending their marriage. Their united response against cyberbullying showed their commitment to handling the situation with dignity.
