Schandorf Lands Gold Board and Lands Ministry Jobs

Former Joy News reporter Paa Kwesi Schandorf received two important government jobs from President Mahama's team. The well-known media figure will work as Communications Assistant for Ghana's new Gold Board. He also becomes the Media Relations Officer at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources. Schandorf shared the news on his Facebook page during late May. The dual appointment gives him major influence over the mining sector communications.

The experienced journalist praised President Mahama and the NDC party for their plans for the gold industry. He promised to help transform how Ghana manages its precious metal resources. Schandorf thanked Sammy Gyamfi from the NDC Communications Office for supporting his appointment. The Acting CEO of the Gold Board also trusted him with these important duties. His media background makes him well-suited to explain complex mining policies to citizens.

BBC recognized Schandorf's talent through a Komla Dumor Award nomination for outstanding journalism. His appointment follows a pattern of respected media professionals joining the current administration. Many experienced reporters have moved from newsrooms into government communication roles. The trend shows how President Mahama values skilled media experts for public relations work. Schandorf brings decades of broadcasting experience to his new government positions.
