Sebakwe River Crash Horror Kills Twelve

A fuel truck killed twelve people when it crashed near Sebakwe River on Tuesday morning. The deadly accident happened at the 200 kilometer mark on the main road between Harare and Bulawayo. Police confirmed the truck driver lost control and hit two other vehicles during the early hours. Commissioner Paul Nyathi spoke about the crash that shocked the local community. The fuel tanker carried two trailers and was heading toward Kwekwe from the capital city.

The large truck first scraped against a two-tonne vehicle before smashing into a Nissan van. All twelve passengers rode inside the van when the collision occurred. The powerful impact dragged the smaller vehicle several meters down the road surface. The overturned fuel tanker fell on top of the van and trapped everyone inside. Emergency workers could not save any of the twelve victims from the crushed vehicle.

Medical teams moved all bodies to Kwekwe General Hospital after the scene was cleared. Police officers started their investigation to find out what caused this terrible crash. The accident blocked traffic for hours on the busy highway connecting Zimbabwe's major cities. Local authorities continue examining evidence from the crash site.
