Selangor MB Defends Gas Pipeline Fire Probe as Independent and Transparent

State leaders insist they stayed out of the gas fire probe that rocked Putra Heights back in April. Selangor chief minister Amirudin Shari says his government kept its hands off the investigation. Police handled everything without any political meddling from above. The state only helped out as one witness among 212 people who gave statements. Officials want everyone to know the investigation ran clean and fair.

A special team will look over the fire report and suggest ways to prevent future disasters. Amirudin promises to share the full investigation once authorities give him permission. He says people can judge for themselves who caused the mess after reading the findings. The report contains clear answers about what went wrong that deadly day. Critics should bring proof before claiming the investigation was rigged.

Police gave the case a no-action stamp after finding zero evidence of wrongdoing or sabotage. Investigators talked to construction workers, security guards, and machine operators during their probe. The explosion wrecked 81 homes completely and damaged dozens more around the area. Another 218 houses escaped without any harm from the blast. Local residents remain angry about the police decision and want a fresh investigation.
