Senator Maidoki cries out over bandit attacks in Kebbi South

Senator Garba Musa Maidoki, representing Kebbi South Senatorial District, has raised concerns over renewed bandit attacks in his constituency, saying residents are living in constant fear. Speaking on the Senate floor on Wednesday, Maidoki stated that armed groups have overrun several communities, displacing people and putting their lives at risk.

He urged immediate action, emphasizing that issues like roads and schools no longer matter to his constituents, only their safety. Maidoki accused security forces of failing to show results despite claims of ongoing operations in the area.

The senator called on the Senate and security agencies to increase efforts against banditry and ensure that recent counter-terrorism successes are not reversed. He also suggested that the armed forces provide weekly progress reports.
