Seth Rogen grabs Emmy gold in LA for Apple TV hit The Studio

Seth Rogen earned the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony. The Canadian performer became the first recipient during the ongoing event for his role in The Studio. His Apple TV+ satirical series received 23 total nominations this year. The show premiered on March 26, 2025, and follows Matt Remick as he leads Continental Studios. Critics gave the program a 93% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Studio features Catherine O'Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, and Kathryn Hahn as main cast members. Guest stars Martin Scorsese, Charlize Theron, and Ron Howard appear throughout the season. Seth Rogen co-created the series with Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez. Apple TV+ renewed the program for a second season after positive reviews. The ceremony takes place at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles with Nate Bargatze as host.
