Zomba district witnessed leadership advancement as the Ministry of Local Government elevated seven traditional leaders through the District Commissioner's office. Three Traditional Authorities received promotions to Senior Chief status, while three Sub-Traditional Authorities gained Traditional Authority positions. Group Village Head Kamwendo advanced to the Sub-Traditional Authority level during the ceremony. District Commissioner Reinghard Chavula emphasized the importance of lawful conduct and community service among the promoted leaders.
